[quote=ToonRboy;537422]steveh29,
Looks like CSC ex manifolds, Ansa center, and stock rear can.

Thanks for the information. I've got a center section ready to go, just wondered about the can on the back.

Personally, I like the R10 wheels. They just look "right". Do you know the ET (28 or 37) off hand? I have to say that the car seems awefully quiet for only having a rear can. Those Toyo's grip like a like they were made out of gecko feet! I didn't hear any squealing at all, and absolutely no booty wander as you attacked those curvys. Which, by the way, there was no shortage of. 'Hardly any opportunity to get the rev's up eh? I suppose the 75 Turbo box helps a lot in that regard, downshifts nice too - what's the diff ratio? Can you say any more about the "special" camshafts? Me, I like the way the stock 2.5 cams sound, just wish there was a bit more intake duration to 'em.

My second car (ever) was a '73 Volvo 164E and the braking system was a split diamond circuit (so if one circuit failed, you still have two front and one rear). That was carried on to the 2 series. So those calipers have two hydraulic connections each. Did you swap in the Volvo Master Cylinder as well, or just plumbed the lines to the dual pistons? Any other considerations to make when fitting those calipers?
Thank's

The color is AR759 Grigio nube (Gray cloud)

Sorry I don't know the "ET" from the R10 wheels

Yes the car is not to loud, because the the back muffler is a stock one

My gear box is a GTV6 one but one of the last, so it's a "iso". The diff with the LSD comes from a 75 Twin Spark and it have the same ratio as a stock GTV6 one.

The engine is a 3.0 from a 164 "normal" and the cams are more "aggressif" than the "S" or "QV" one. The minimum revs from the engine is 1600 rpm, it's not very fun on normal road traffic

The Gasoline injectors are bigger, the pression is bigger to, and the electronic main unit (???) (Motronic 4.1) was adapted.

For the Volvo calibers I still have the Alfa Master Cylinder and I used the "T" back flexible device of brake.

The disks are bigger 285mm and comes from a 164 V6, so you need to make a spacer which it is necessary to introduce between the disc and the part number 6

The pads are PBR ULTIMATE CERAMIC

Thumbs up

Bon Jour Walt,

Thanks for answering the tommy of questions. So many have heard about the Volvo caliper conversion, but details never published. Excellent, thanks for sharing. I imagine this upgrade doesn't fit under the stock GTV6 wheels?

That interior is quite refined for a car obviously set-up for racing. If I may say, The console looks exceptionally cool with that shift knob and matching leather boot, but I would have went with a different wheel MOMO Trek-R.Or if Momo too expensive, try Isotta Evoluzione P Steering Wheel - Black

Very nice Walt, very nice indeed!

Walt, your English is great! I was able to understand all of that.

MJR means to say that you need to make the place where the anti-roll bar mounts to the chassis stronger with a piece of metal (backing plate) behind it. This metal would be welded in.

If you don't install the plates, the chassis will crack and break where the anti-roll bar mounts.

Walt, are you using 164 12v or 24V rotors?

That is probably my favorite color for the GTV-6, I am guessing the same color as the GTV-6 below(?).

Would you happen to know the color code for this outstanding Alfa color (we've been trying 4ever to find it)?

Thanks, either way.

Keep those GREAT videos coming.

How come no one has asked about your spinout in minute 6 of the last video? That was very interesting - can you tell us what happened there?

I loved the reaction of the 75 when you came back on to re-take the lead, he clearly wasn't expecting that, there was a moment of disbelief and quiet in their cage, then you spun out soon thereafter - at which point their chatter sparked up again.

If you people haven't checked minute 6 of the 75 video, "Joe-Bob says, check it out."

Thanks.

Yes, the "fight" with the 75 Turbo was very fun and very fair play After the "race" the guy came towards me to congratulate me, a real Gentleman

His 75 have a lot of power and I had to push very hard to keep the pace.

Unfortunately my video cassette was full and I could not film the scene.

I noticed the short shifter. Looks great. Is it simply cut down, or is there more to that?
It's all CSC, only the rear is stock.

The shifter is simply cut down

I did not test with the stock GTV6 wheels, I can test it on the occasion, but I am not a fan of this rims

I like the mixture between the cosy and the side racing from the interior

Sorry, but I prefer my Momo wheel

Can you show me an image of the plate and where it must be welded?
