6c?

whats the 6c stand for on the plenum of the "later" gtv6's and milanos...since i know the earlyer ones dont have it.....the "replacement" engine in my gtv6 has the 6c plenum and later valve covers..but i have the original engine and the plenum doesnt have the 6c and has the imo "cleaner" valve covers with the alfa script

please dont tell me its something stupid like 6 cylinder

Yeah it's a nostalgic throwback to the pre-war cars, much like the current 8C.

Stupid? Actually they linked the V6 engine to the proudest days of Alfa Romeo history, when they called their cars for 6C, 8C and 12C. So the GTV6 is definetly a 6C although of newer days of course! The Alfa V6 at one time in the nineties won the best 6 cylinder competition, selected by a team of engineers, so its the best of its time!

ok then the 6c has some heritage ...i dont mind it so much now then....and it "might" get left alone on the project

if it was just a stupid v6 type designation it would be getting ground off in short order...i think a nice water jet cut alfa logo would look better there

Would you feel better if I told you it's really 6 Cilindri? It sounds more exotic in Italian.
