Corbeau A4 seats

Hey all,

I thought I would post a few pictures of my recent seat upgrades! They are Corbeau A4 micro suede seats, with the D1121T brackets. The brackets fit with no modification other than longer attachment bolts.

The seat position is almost exactly the same, though I now keep the seat in the furthest forward position (I'm about 5'5"). These seats slide back much further than the original seats- so far back that they can eliminate all rear leg room in the full back position. The side bolsters are great for track driving and are super-supportive. I haven't done any all-day drives yet, but they seem more comfortable than the original seats.

From side to side they barely fit- with maybe an inch from the edge of the seat to the door (when closed). They don't provide as much room to access the rear seats when flipped forward due to the single pivot point- making getting in and out of the rear seats a bit harder. And visibility out the rear sides is a bit reduced too.

I've had them for just over a month and am pretty happy with them. They seem like a decent compromise between price, performance and style (well- the style is debatable!! - the seats I really wanted were too expensive!)

I hope this helps!!!

cheers,

-rich

Hi Rich,
Those look pretty darn good! Are they black and gray can't quite tell ... I still need to get my originals fixed - unfortunately I still really like the look of the wood headrest support. But when I think that for the same price of recovering the old you can get new seats that DON'T ratchet back from road vibration -real tempting! nice

GV

GV - I agree, I like the looks of the original seats better- and these Corbeau seats look a little out of place to me, but the 81-83 (GTV) seats weren't cutting it on the track. I was in my passenger's lap on the left turns!!!

sh0rtlife- Not sure how they are on rough roads- i generally avoid any rallycross...

cheers-

Don't forget, the 84 and up GTV6 seats are also quite good. I've experienced the early GTV6 seats in our Alfetta and it's quite a bit lacking in the lateral support area.

Rich, the Corbeau bracket is an off the shelf item?

Grant- the bracket is a stock bracket offered by Corbeau. D112T - it is listed as the 'GTV' bracket, and fits perfect for my '82.

SpiderNV- I purchased the seats from Jim at Motorsport Seats - Race Seats and Car Seats - Corbeau Cobra Sparco Recaro ProCar and Race Harnesses and had them drop shipped from a warehouse here in Vegas. How's Reno these days? i need to head back up there to take care of some paperwork at UNR. I'll give you a shout if you are interested.

Looks Nice!…..

I've been contemplating this for some time now. Does anyone know if the 81-83 GTV seat bracket bolt pattern is the same as the earlier 76-79 Alfetta GT/GTV/?Sprint Veloce?
