How much will a full 3.0 engine rebuild cost

I may have some major engine problems low oil pressure on my gtv6 3.0 engine a non working gauge and tappet noise that has got worse. I am going to get a manual pressure check performed and the car is not being driven. Does anybody know how much a full engine rebuild may cost? Not looking forward to that bill so any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would get advice on who can check it out fairly. You probably have a bad sender and (worst case) some worn cam lobes. Or some adjustments to make to the cams. Get it checked by a reputable repair shop.

You should ask Alex Jupe Motorsport, he is working with the Alfa 3L and is in your country.

Thank you gabor, I am aware of alex and he is very good, but I always like to have some background knowledge where I have none in this case before i go to visit any car mechanic there is always a risk you will get ripped off, although i have no reason to think alex would.

thanks
