GTV6 Paint

Ok..So how does it look in person? Is there a bunch of orange peel and oversparay? Did you have it wet sanded? Is that one of there colors or custom? When you said you made them clean up mistakes what did they screw up? Thank You, Steve

P.S. - PLEASE HELP Greg Gordon or any other GTV6 Speacialist!!! PLEASE HELP!!! Just started having problems with my car its a 1985 GTV6. When I turn the key somtimes the dash lights come on and the car starts just fine. Other times you have to keep turning the key back and forth to get the dash lights to come on..somtimes it takes 10 tries. If the dash lights dont come on the car will still crank it just wont start. The car just lost power the other day in the middle of driving and shut off. This has only happened 2 times. The battery is brand new.

Thank You for your help!!!!!!!! -Steve

All the paint is nice and smooth, no orange peel anyhwere. I couldn't see myself accepting a car unless the paint was smooth. Car looks very good up close. This is the second Alfa in a years time that I had Earl Scheibed and I'm happy with the results. The Milano I had done, I took to Concorso Italiano in Monterey this year and had some compliments on the paint job. People were very surpised when I told them Earl Schieb did the work.

I'll have the GTV6 at Concorso Italiano in August '08, so you can look at the paint job yourself.

The Earl Sheibe and Macco paint places actually do a decent job. The painters spray so many cars they know how to do it really well.

I like the photo shop race stripes.

Steve: Lets not hijack this thread. I answered your PM, I think your problem is probably an ignition switch issue. I generally avoid using Alfa ignition switches.

Yep, don't hijack threads. Lots of correct forums for this, but your ignition switch is the problem. People carry a big bunch of keys and wonder why the switch packs up.

Just so I'm not guilty of hi-jacking....... I don't object to the colour of the car, it's just it could lose all the shiny bits of trim. And personally I prefer the black plastic bits to remain factory colour. As for "racing stripes", the less said the better. Just my opinion.
