78 SS rear brake Calipers

i was wondering if the rear brake caliers of 78 Sports Sedan would be the same as say Milano / GTV6??

My pass side rear is leaking

Can't answer your question, but why don't you rebuild the one you have. It's really easy and you should be able to get a kit. Strip it down, take the seals etc. to a brake specialist and they should be able to match the seals. The hard one to find is the very small o-ring on the adjusting screw. My GTV6 was matched to a Saab kit with the exception of the o-ring. A lot of them leak from the o-ring so don't miss it if you rebuild.

ok i will start looking into it.
but my car is all original and i think / fear once i start doing little things its going to go south real fast.

plus i really want to take her to our local car show in LA on Nov. 4th
so?????????

If you don't do the maintenance it will go south even faster. If you don't trust yourself to do the work and are not that handy with a spanner, my recommendation would be to pull it out (2 bolts and the hose) and find a friendly mechanic to do the work for you. It would take 2 hours of his labour and about $30 (or less) for the kit. If your budget stretches to an official rebuilt item expect to pay $200 just for the caliper. A rip off IMHO. Then you would still have to find a competent mechanic to do the work. Most will turn you away as they are afraid of any car they can't plug into a diagnostic machine. The one you find to take the job will charge you a premium just 'cos it has an Alfa badge on it. Wait till after the show and I will step you through it. Or buy a few beers and a board member will pop round and give you a hand. These guys will do anything for a free beer.

Since I found the rear calipers for $100 all rebuilt, i went for it also they look great.
i started calculating $30 for kit, plus the guy wanted $80 per caliper i just got the rebuilt one. i'm pulling them apart this week so i hope all goes well.

You might want to pre-soak the nuts and bolts with some PB Blaster or some WD before you take it apart. This will give you an edge on rusty/seized bits.
