To whoever was talking about the Sports Sedan GTV8.
It's still running and obliterating the competition.
The only resemblance it bears to a GTV6 is the fibreglass body.

If you are referring to the Ricciardello GTV8, it would be interesting with a link to its present activities, if you have?

It's racing in the Australian Sports Sedan Series.
I can't find any specific information on the car, though I watched a race a few weeks ago in which he won, and he's won every round this season but one.

I can't find any good pics of the structure of an alfa-based sports sedan, but for an idea of the engineering in this class, and the insane engine and driver position - check out what happens when you try to fit a 6L Jag V12 and a driver in the middle of a car...
There is a tenuous alfa connection - it is tuned by Beninca

Interesting project, that Jag.
Found more info about Ricciardello and his GTV8. He left Sport sedans for V8 supercars for 2006, but obviously back in Sport Sedans this year with the GTV, he is leading the series.Would be interesting to learn more about his car. As I learned from a forum, it was built by a racecar manufacturer in AUS, which earlier built Group C cars.
Here the Sport Sedan site:

I'm pretty sure sure its a 164 engine/subframe going into the rear of this sprint (scroll down to post 6):

OK, you got me...
All,
Yes, it IS a 164 subframe etc, with the steering locked etc as per JJ's wish list . It's sitting about 100' from me right now, and if my co-conspirator ticks off the project plan, work on it will recommence this side of Christmas.
The "work" of course has not been helped by the purchase of an engineless but solid GTV6, which I found loitering in the local breaker's yard whilst making a social vist on my birthday...

I have a complete article on the Sports Sedan, written in the mid-to-late 1990's.
