I started on the same journey a while ago, now I'm on the final stages. Plan on taking my sedan to Italian Concorso in Monterey, CA. I salute you on a great detailed restoration. Manuel............

OK, I know all you Sedan freaks have been holding your breath for more restoration images. The motor was installed last night. Check out the freshly wrinkle finish powder coated cam cover and the jet-hot coated SPICA drive pulley. Also of note are the SPICA idle hoses which are now done in braided stainless with really cool clamps. New Romablok SPICA clamps from Mt Carmel Spares in Israel, too. Changed every nut I could find with stainless replacements. Much more detailing to do but looks good so far.
I'll update site with MANY more detail shots.

Congratulations on such a superb resto. Your dedication to getting it perfect is wonderful. Far too many Alfetta's, both sedans and Gt/GTVs have gone to the scrapper, due to rust and not being appreciated. I had over here in Tasmania both a 76 GT 1.8 which has gone to meet its maker and a '76 1.8 sedan. The sedan was superb when I had it, full history, low milage, 2 owners from new. The guy I sold it too fitted it with an Alfa 90 2.5 V6 and all the running gear. At first I wasnt convinced it was a good idea, but the note from the 2 inch exhaust and the way the car was lowered made it look really tough but actually didnt spoil its appearance. A bit of a wolf in sheeps clothes. The guy who now owns it recently had it fully restored and it looks fabulous in Navy Blue. Hmn wouldnt mind another one if I could find one.
Current daily driver is my 156 sportwagon. But also have a 1750 GTV and a Giulia Super which I am restoring. Cheers

looks beautiful, bob! i love the engine with the super clean patina--it looks like an old ferrari engine. gotta love all that clean aluminum & brass.
don't let my alfetta see this thread--she'll be jealous! at least i'm refusing to give her up when EVERYONE i know says to pare down. i do think these cars will make a comeback once all the gtv's are too expensive although i guess the sedan crowd is a niche market. anyways, mine is resting quietly until i get enough money for all the smog garbage (which isn't much, i admit) but with a milano awaiting its new v6, a scirocco awaiting its 2.0 liter 16v, and a 944 turbo awaiting its new oil pan gasket the alfetta will have to be patient. but that's what alfa sedans do best; wait patiently until they're appreciated.
keep up the great work, bob. your build is the model for us all.
