Centrostile badge ...
Hi Guys,
I have a "Centrostile Alfa Romeo" badge on my '74 Alfetta ... does it have any significance ... does it relate to Zagato Centrostile or not?!
Any info would be cool ...
Cheers

I would have to check my parts books to be absolutely sure, but I think these were a stock item on the Alfetta sedan......in everywhere but the US. Zagato did not desing the car. I believe it was an internal design.

Yeah, Centro Stile was Alfa's in-house design team. I think they did the Alfa 75 (Milano) and several others I can't remember. According to Wikipedia they had a hand in the SZ and the Alfa 33 hatchback. The term must mean "house styling" or something, since there is a Fiat Centro Stile, Lancia Centro Stile, and even a Lamborghini Centro Stile.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the info ... "Centro Stile" translates to "Center Style", so yeah, I guess it's the interior ... better than "stile interno"! I'm glad that they did a decent job, and put things in the right place unlike the Alfetta coupe ...
Anyway, I've always liked that badge ... looks like an Egyptian winged sun disk or something ...
Cheers

Alfretta, as Matthew already said.
It's the in-house design team, so the name doesn't really have anything to do with interiors.
As far as i know, the Alfetta berlina was an Centro Stile design, unlike the Alfetta GT/GTV which was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro (ItalDesign).
In my opinion, the badge looks kinda aeronautical.
Like the circle combined with those lines resemble an aeroplane.
But i don't think this was standard on any Alfetta, more like an addition by the previous owner.
The Alfetta's i've seen don't have that badge.
