I put standard GTV6 Brembo front brakes on my 79 Sprint Veloce. Just redrilled for 4 bolt and switched complete spindles, etc. Had to remachine 15x7 Ronals to clear but really works great. Huge difference and not very expensive. Was totally surprised that wheels did not clear, but looked at same wheel for GTV6 and found that extra ribs inside wheel were smaller on V6 wheel compared to 4 cyl wheel. Huge difference on street and track.

SV Brakes

The ALFA SV's had ventilated rear brake rotors fitted and I've heard you can fit these to the GTV-6 as a direct bolt-on. Of Course, the rotor and brake calipers have to be changed out. I understand the rear calipers have a spacer between the halves to create the thickness for the thick ventilated rotor. Does it make a great improvement in braking? Maybe someone who has made this modification can shead some light on the idea. Is it expensive????

The SZ had vented rear rotors. Available from several sources plus kits to widen rear caliper. Not sure worth spending the money for a strictly street car but really worthwhile for even a club track car. Just vented front brakes can fade quickly on the track. Vented rears really help reduce brake fade on a track/street car.
