GTV6 Coolant Hoses

Hello everyone,
Would appreciate any information/knowledge from anyone who owns/owned an original GTV6.

I'm in the process of replacing all the coolant hoses in my GTV6. I would like to know which hoses were the cloth braided type?

In my car, it appears only the small 7mm hoses running to the overflow bottle from both the radiator and the small T piece behind the engine for the heater hose, as well as the overflow line itself, were cloth braided. All the other hoses appear to be standard rubber.

If anyone can confirm this to be the case, or otherwise, that would be very much appreciated.

Thank you

I just changed my original ones and the ones you listed sound like the ones that I remember were indeed cloth braided.

I seem to remember when I changed mine out on my '82 2 years ago that they all were braided. They're still in a plastic bag in the junkpile on my garage floor, so I can double check when I get home this weekend.

all small coolant hoses were braided except the overflow bottle drain hose. Even the brake reservoir-to-clutch master was braided....

However, mice find these to be VERY edible.......

Thank you all for your responses.

Bill, I would be interested to know what type you had fitted. Bear in mind that I'm only referring to the coolant hoses. Most, if not all, the vacuum hoses were cloth braided which maybe is what your refering to.

"Xray", I double checked today and confirmed that the overflow bottle drain hose in my car is cloth braided as well. Can't vouch it is original as I've only had the car about a year. Maybe it was model specific??? (Mine is a 1985 RHD version).

Thanks again all for taking the time to answer my query.

Here's a pic of some of the hoses I took off mine a couple of years ago. Pretty sure they're original.

I've had my '82 GTV6 since new, and it never had red hoses, braided or otherwise.
