Hot Rod

Well, usually, people are sticking american engines into hot rods, but this guy has the right idea:

Hot rod

GTV6 engine AND transaxle installed into this...

"

Duvall style windshield.Aquamarine with flames and pinstriping by Mike the Stripe. Custom seat , fabric upholstery ,very comfortable.

14,500 miles on build, everything new or overhauled when built by Nick Groshen. Aluminum single overhead cam fuel injected HemiV6. 5 speed overdrive transaxle from Italian Alfa Romeo GTV6. (Google it, there is a whole sub-culture involved with that car. There is a shop in Berkley that sells stock and speed parts and builds these motors for racing.)

Uses the GTV6 rear seats too! Awesome.
Why is the owner so angry though? (reflection in valve cover, first picture)

Goodness, there is? I certainly hope the Department of Homeland Security is investigating this.

Gotta admire the seller's sense of humor. Sounds like he speaks from experience!

Alfa GTV6 Hot Rod - Imgur

Heavy duty custom rectangular steel frame.4 wheel disc brakes,Adjustable Torsion bar independent front suspension. Rack and pinion steering.Coil over spring/shock suspension in rear.

Real Budnik Billet(not cast) wheels. Custom headers by Sanderson.

Classic gauges with brass trim.

Quick, nimble, well balanced, reliable. Good on gas.

I bought this car on impulse over 8 years ago and never regretted it. I figured to have fun with it for a few years, then sell it and get most of my money back. 8 years later it is time to let it go and concentrate on a neglected project.

It is fun, safe, easy to drive and comfortable. Handles fantastic. Unlike a lot of rods, you won't be gritting your teeth and clinching your sphincter while driving this car. It goes straight at any speed and takes corners like a Go Cart.Steer it with one hand on the custom sized leather wrapped wheel.Never, ever ,overheats.

Has no opening door, so you need to be able to lift your leg over to get in, your wife will not like that.

You may lose a little money when you decide to sell it someday, so what? If you don't have a hot rod or project yet, this is a great car for you. If you have a project, you can drive this while you work on your other car. This car needs nothing.

If you want a hot rod, why wait for "someday"? You are not getting any younger.

So . . . the doors are welded up, right? Can't even see a handle. Is this common for hot rods. Just curios

Usually the handles are shaved from the outside for cleaner lines and there's some almost hidden button on the inside that pops it open.
