alfa particle and xray. yes . I believe the resistors are set up differently to account for things like tire size, amplification of signal, etc. All my resistors check out OK ( to spec) except one, and this one is covered in epoxy so I can get good contact with my probe. Once I confirm its ok, I am going to take a milano sender, replace the chip, and put it back together.

Cool Thread here!!! Major surgery to the Speedo sending unit...
Michael are both ICs mentioned in the documentation on that board? I don't see the 1092 chip.... maybe on the speedo itself?

I would think that the 1092 or similar stepper motor driver is inside the dash speedo unit as the pink wire was the only signal wire from the speedo sensor

Sure. I don't have an immediate need but that is cheap insurance.

insides of milano black box- look familiar
so here is the PCB of the Milano black box (what is called the amplifier, under rear seat). pretty similar, right? 8 transistors, a rectifier , a 1091 chip.... So, my take is Alfa realized the insides of a transaxle was no place for all these components, and moved em to the black box in a more hospitable environment, leaving only a few necessary items in the transaxle to pick up the signal from the rotation and send it to the "amplifier". This thing is not an amplifier the way most of us think of amplifiers. I really think it is just the same circuitry as what is in the late GTV6 sender.

although there appears to be a capacitor on this board not present in the gtv6

Might be easier to eliminate the redundant components in the sender and just wire the coil to the milano amp...

I certainly take one if ordered, agree, cheap insurance and my speedo is out of whack. I also wonder, when all said and done, can someone take this thread, create a short how-to article for GTV6 cars, maybe publish in US AROC and other national equivalent mags and on this board, it's a bit hard to sift through for narrative procedure here.
