Confused Gtv6

I think my 1983 Gtv6 is confused on which year she should be or is. I have a title that say that she is an 83, but she has many aspects that an 84 would have. It has the interior of an 84 and the front emblem has a case kinda thing over the original smaller emblem with the larger version emblem on it. Aren't these the two main things to look for when checking the year if confusion rises. Well I was just wondering if anyone has any information on why my car may be like this.

You undoubtedly have a California spec 83 GTV6. The Ca cars had the 84 characteristics most notably the recaro style seats. Essentially the only difference is the rear end ratio which is the same as the 49 state cars. If you have the original 83 CA owners you will see on the cover a picture of the GTV6 with the recaro style head rests.

Some of those 83 cars also have the 1984+ injection system. That drives me crazy when selling hose kits.
