I believe that this is the 2600 that beat the Ferrari 250SWB (now worth about 2 million dollars) in it's class in the Italian clasic car series about 15 years ago.

Great sound.
But ungainly. Look at all that lean in the turns. Listen to the engine scream coming out of the turns due to lack of limited slip.
Give me a GTV anytime.
But then of course I miss the point. The point is to have something unique, which I can relate to perfectly.

When I first watched the video I noticed it was rolling A LOT. That though, could probably be fixed with some better a/m suspension.
As for the screaming engine/no LSD, that's a little harder to work out. That might be a custom diff job right there.
Did that car ever come with a LSD?

Skinny & 'under-nourished' tires may have something to do w/all that body roll too(?)...at one point it looked like she was ready to go up(at least) on 3 wheels!
Great sound!
Regards.

I think it's fitted with overly-soft suspension cause someone didn't like the ride quality. Which murdered the handling.

No thanks. Between 102s and 106s I've had about a dozen already in my lifetime.

I owned one of these for awhile and the only word that really describes the handling is "ponderous". It was quite a bit heaver (most of that weight concentrated just behind the front wheels) than a GTV and was fitted with skinny 400mm tires. I always liked the ornate design of these cars, but kept wishing it was a GTV. So I sold mine with no regrets. Lancia Flaminias, the 2600's direct competitor, is a far superior car in every way. 2600's feel so nose heavy I'm not sure if anyone can make them handle. Not my cup of tea, although the motor sounds great.

Looks like a no sale . 10 years from now we'll probably be looking back at what would have been a bargain price.

I don't mean to sound overly critical but, to me, the idea of a "racing" 2600 Alfa equates to a racing lawn mower.

Heck, they race chainsaws, and they don't even go around a track LOL
Apparently Jim's mower is just one of those wimpy 'off the showroom floor' types and he's simply jelous that he's not mastered the art of getting big hairy balls out of little tiny engines.
Race a Briggs 'stock appearing' class kart sometime but try not to wee yourself when you suddenly figure out you're going over 100mph 2 inches off the ground in a pack of rabid drivers. hehe
