Nurby once again

I went to the Nurburgring with the danish AROC last weekend.
70 participant including spouses, kids and friends from other car clubs such as BMW, Honda and Subaru.

I made this rather noisy film with a tiny camcorder inserted into the grille:

The lens can be seen just above the reg plate at the driver-side high beam

edit: added more pics

Per, that's an excellent angle for a camera! I nominate you to make a trip to Paris and remake that Claude LeLouche classic Rendezvous.

That's a great bit of driving. The only experience I have with Nurby is on the Forza X-Box game.

Good work, nice lines (shame you missed the Karussel)! I especially like the effect of the track surface writing, makes it look almost cinematic! Brought back memories...

Perhaps I should've turned down the volume on my headphones.
Good bit of driving.

One question though, what do you do if you want to race there, but you have no idea what the course looks like?
Is it a good idea to play Xbox or whatever just to get a layout of the track in your mind? Or do they have instructors too?

I recommend GT4 on PS2 ... it looks exactly right and is good for learning the twists and bends.

But it will never prepare you for the elevation changes - and the off-camber bends - and the small undulations in the tarmac surface etc etc.

And watch videos on youtube

Great vid

Had to have a cold shower after watching that one. To bad you had to share the road with that funeral procession. Thank you for posting.
