That reminds me: what are you using for a microphone or sound pickup?
I've tried recording the noise mine makes, but it's apparently way too much for the recorder I'm using (handheld mp3 player with wav recorder if it matters) as it ends up going well beyond the peak sound level leaving me with almost a monotone buzz, or at least nothing that sounds like an engine.

Are you pushing the 'play' button in the window in that post or are you trying to go to youtube and view it? (playing it right there still works for me)

Subtle,
You need a regular video camera to hook the helmet cam too and that video camera needs to have video in capabilty........ not an easy thing to find. I did find one at refer.com for around $250.
Here is some more information from my thread.

I appears that you have secured the camera to the mirror support.
I was just thinking about using one on some twisties--I won't be on a track until the Portland convention in ought-nine.
I wonder if a separate thread on map views of some favourite roads should be started?
We are heading up Vancouver Island for a few days. This time of year it should be done in the Spider with the roof down.
But with snow flurries possible , we are using the Turbo Wagon.

Too bad about the weather that would have been alot of fun.
I just got lucky that the bracket worked on the mirror it's meant to fasten to a roll bar.
Here's a pic.

I'm using the mic's that came with the helmet cam, there's a pair of them...........stereo.
I found that on mine I need to set the volume no higher then 1/2 way on the cam corder otherwise I get a the feed back sound.
I sit on them to try to keep the sound level down.

Best sounding spider I've heard yet... well done!
And I'm so envious of the smooth roads... wow! Down here in New Orleans the roads are worse than those in Baghdad after a bombing run. In fact I cant even think of a stretch of road longer than a mile so smooth!

Thank you,
I thought New Orleans got all new roads after the hurricane. How is it down there now are they making any progress?
