Watching all those suds in the first video is freaking me out. It's like my GTV6 and Scirocco humped and had children! Thanks though, neat videos.

Woke up this morning. Had my cup of tea and some yogart. Went to the site. And what
did I see? Some really nice racing. Thanks for making my day start so nicely. Oh yes,
I'm also sorry about your car. Previous to your crash, I couldn't help but to notice that
that Jag seemed a bit 'squirrely' and he's going to get him or someone else in trouble.
I really enjoyed it....Ed K.

hi pete , low 1.08s i think , getting fairly quick , eddie and ron have both got very similar suds , ron has just got his new motor with a few extra ccs , and will go quicker yet , photos of the cars can be viewed at Ground-Sky Photography
fascinating story you wrote re the fun you had with your sud , when was that .. obviously over this side of the ditch , i been on the scene since way back but don't know the car , now days you can bolt in a 16v and go reasonably quick if you lighten the car , i build a few engines so know what you mean about having no off the shelf bits and having to build everything ....
block thats a great way of seeing a sud sprint , have you ever seen one in the flesh in the us , best thing is they drive even better than they look , i love em ,
yea the crash took the steam out of my racing and have not got fully back into it yet , but the sprints in the shed and i still breathe so just got to find the right moment , eddies driving in the second video and if ya not doing it ya self watching the bro punt his sud around aint a bad second best , there are 37 videos so far in the link below , check them out if you enjoy ...
cheers

I raced that green Sud back when I was 19 up to about 24, thus back in 1988 to 1994 ... thus a long time ago, but I used to race at every North Island event (pretty much) and also was one of the very first in the Alfa Trofeo series with Andy Drumond, etc. It was sold to a couple of guys and they raced it for a while and apparently scrapped the body and put the bits in a more modern shell. Unfortunately I am no longer a member of the NZ AROC, sorry, but was from 18 to around 35 years old ... but 100% understandable that I am long forgotten
My father (who is visiting Sydney currently) and I tried hard to remember my lap times in the Sud and I can only guess it was doing around 1:16s at Puke (and 1:28s at Manfield). I do remember that Dad'd 2002 Tii (near standard) was doing around 1:19s. The Stryker did 1:08s and would easily (yeah right, talk is cheap ) have gotten down to 1:05s with more development if I had not blown the motor and stopped racing ...
I think it is disappointing that they are allowed to run with 16v engines as it shows that classic racing has lost that "classic" focus in NZ, or in the Alfa club anyway.
Best
Pete
