It makes sense, a corvette is a big hefty american car, and the Alfetta is a lightweight little spriter. The big american V8 took a long time to spool up, and once it did the Alfetta was 30feet down the track, the tiny four banger, probably with a tiny aluminum flywheel, can get its power down. And finally the corvette left its 500bhp on the asphalt, you could hear it.

Anyone know whereabouts that was taken and anything more about that Alfetta?
It sure ain`t standard. Apart from forced induction (turbo or supercharger) or repower, I can`t see any 4 cylinder Alfetta getting to be that fast-look at the way he has trouble keeping it in a straight line and putting power down once under way-that`s serious torque.

Isn't that a C3 Corvette from 1980? Isn't that the slowest Vette of all time?

The Alfetta looks fast but how about a drag versus a C5 or C6.

What we are seeing here is a very powerful Alfetta that gets a good launch. Aside from the launch the two cars seem to be accelerating at about the same rate. With any late 70's early 80's C3 Corvette, it's tough to know what's under the hood. There were some stock versions with very low horsepower numbers, I think the lowest was around 160-165 (A California spec 305). However they are so cheap to modify that 500 and 600hp engines are common. My guess is that's about a 350hp Vette and a 250-300+hp Alfetta.
