That's a great video. It must have taken some setting up. Do you know what the program was? If so I will keep an eye out for it. We have a free to air channel here that play European shows.

Well, first they did something really wrong to the brakes. In that amount of space the 164 could have slowed down, pirouetted around the merc, and been up the ramp safely, which the cops wouldn't have been able to react to, being in a big, heavy Merc.
Alternatively, it could have just gone up the ramp easily. Driver was not paying enough attention. Stupid driver.

Why is it always the Italian cars that get destroyed on television?

I bet that what you see coming from under the motor was leftover propellant from the cannon that shoots out a wooden ( or something like that ) plug that launches the car in the air. I think I've seen tv shows that showed how it's done.
