I am the editor of a car magazine in Norway called Carburetti. We write about cars that stir passion and have soul. Mostly sports cars from the 60s and 70s. I am a self confessed car nut, and is very lucky to drive dreamcars in my work: Porsche 73 RS, Pagani Zonda F, Ferrari F40, Renault Alpine, Alfa GTA etc. Myself I own three Alfas: A 1970 1750 Bertone racecar, a 1969 1300 giulia Ti and a 1995 164 3.0.
Now back to topic, on our last outing we decided to do a DVD about two of our dream cars on the mother of all tracks, the Nürburgring. The cars where Alfa GTAm and Porsche 911 S/T. The Alfa is a GTAm replica but a good one. We here going to use an original GTAm, but just before filming, the car got mechanical problems. But any well sorted (FIA GTAm) widebody GT is a lot of fun on the Ring. The Porsche is the real deal, it is the very car that Michael Keyser used in the movie The Speed Merchants. We let the cars show colours at one of the world’s most dangerous tracks, the famous Nurburgring. With seven Sony cameras, a film crew, an unknown amount of film and nicely tied race shoes we went.
The result is to be seen February 2008. Until then you have to make do with our “teaser”. The contend will be portraits of the ST and the GTAm. Inboard and outboard action footage and fast laps around the Ring + bonus material. Pre order the DVD now and get a discount from 37 Euros to pre order price 31 Euros (249,- NKR). If you like the magazine you will love this DVD.
Hey Christer - JvR here (we met at the Ring last year with Ron...)
He and I just got back from a couple of days skiing up at Mt. Baker. (The old man didn't break a hip he says Hi!)
Get that video done - I LOVE the trailer (the homage to The Speed Merchants is also very cool!) I happen to own the DVD and Ron has now finally seen it too - several times...

Hi JvR,
Hope all is good, can Ron really ski or is he better at the after ski? Tell him to get his *** to the Ring, we have important matters to discuss!
The dvd just needs small adjustments, we are really pushing the sync between pedals, shifting movements and out board filming. Since so many has pre ordered we have to do our very best and deadline for the finished DVD is February!
Looking at your webpage makes me want a GTV6 with a 3,7 litre. Those things must fly!
Christer: Have been speculating about taking our racer to the ring (with test plates) and have a go at some point of time. A recording of driving together with Ron Simons racer could have been the ultimate GTV6 recording. Our car of course not having the resources ,yet, as the RS car, but already deemed the best sounding car of a meeting. Well could be fun, life is too short to do all the fun things...

Hi Gabor,
Of course we could make a DVD about the GTV6, but as with everything is about making ends meet. If you found the founds for filming, editing, filmcrew, print of cover and burning DVDs, we are absolutely all in. This DVD project is all made with passion and our own cash. We are probably going to loose money on it...Just getting the cars to the Ring is the easy part.... Well, as you said could be fun and your gtv6 sounds a million dollars. Hope you enjoy this DVD!
The DVD is mastered and is send off to be burned and the cover printed. It will be sent off to those of you who have pre ordered by mid February. When the first batch is shipped, the pre order discount is removed and the price is then 37 Euros (and postage fee: 3 Euros). Pre order now and get a discount and the pre order price of 31 Euros.
You can order and pay with PayPal on this site. The Race Univers
We are enthusiasts just as you lot and know that 14 days is a long wait, so we have put 39 seconds from the DVD on youtube. Enjoy!
