Fun Alfa segment on Top Gear UK TV show

Alfa Challenge 1 - BBC Top Gear
Alfa Challenge 2

Although it doesn't portray Alfa in the best light, it's still fun to watch..

I don't think the links work properly. I don't know about Jeremy Clarkson's opinion of alfas... He seems to love them at times, and hate them at others. For instance, has anyone here seen the episode where the 166 was featured? Basically for the whole segment, Jeremy was praising the cars' balance and beauty, but the whole segment was also surrounding the fact that those cars depreciate quickly, compared to other newer models. Towards the end, the poor 166 had taken quite a beating for something it couldn't even help.

What was up with all the neon paint on the cars in the second episode? I don't get it.

This quote from Clarkson made me laugh. "Alfa builds a car to be as good as a car can be - briefly."

Ha! Yeah that was funny. The thing is, he seems like he genuinely likes the marque by some of the things he says, but bashes it for the camera. If you spoke to him directly off camera, I think he'd be a fan.

@AntonyR

I think you are right.. Clarkson is at heart a fan of Alfa.. The guys at TG amplifies every stereotype about cars tenfold, so all in all I think they are being very fair to Alfa. (It's not like sudden/repeat component failure is a total unknovn to Alfa)

www.finalgear.com is the place for TG fans.
