Guys, this is not the place to discuss highly emotive issues like this.
It has no relevance whatsoever to cars and engine destruction. I am sure there are other forums where you can talk about it.

Cash for clunkers? Green? I wonder how much more energy and waste there is in building a new car than keeping an old one running even if it gets slightly less fuel efficiency? If you want to call it a auto industry stimulus, ok. But don't try and tell me that it's "green." There's a unbelievable amount of fraud and under-table money being skimmed in the so-called "green movement." And, oh yea, and the national health scheme isn't going to cost you a dime.

Amen, John. Around here we have a large Japanese car culture. The rice boys they are known as. There are a lot of chinese in these clubs and they call themselves chinks. Short for Chinese, you know. They don't take any offense to it. I am hispanic and if someone calls me a spic I don't take any offense. I am not that thin skinned. Sticks and stones. I think we need to keep our eye on the ball. They are trying to sell us a bill of goods with no goods to deliver. It's a shell game and instead they have us bickering about if we are politically correct enough.
