AlfaBB Video Series - Sneak Peak

Hey guys. We've been working on an AlfaBB.com video series. In the series we are hoping to spotlight some of the cars and their owners that are here on the BB and catch a bit of their essence. If everything goes as planed we will try to break a new video each month.

Let us know what you think and if you have a car that might be a good candidate for the series, preferably located here in California.

Any and all comments are appreciated.

Enjoy!!

AlfaBB - Video Series Teaser

Hi Simon, dang my work computer won't show me the teaser so will have to wait until I get home to enjoy, but if permitted one question, why restrict videos to just California?

For I am sure there are plenty of BBers around the world who would love to participate? Couldn't people send there videos to you guys over there, either electronically or even by snail mail on DVD to upload for all to see ? Dave

Car of the month? Ahem! How about car of the week! We have a plethora of cars to shoot. Love the whole concept! Love that garage, needs more Alfa's in it.

Great stuff, Simon! Thanks. So, the question I have is: What will these videos be doing?

As of right now we don't have anything special planed for them other then using them as promotional pieces for the site and showcasing Vintage Alfas. If we can get at least one or two sponsors for the project that would be great. Sponsors of the project will get placements at the beginning and end of each video. Eventually the series will make its way to thousands of viewers via all the online video sites (youtube, google, vimeo, etc...) as well as our own special video area on the BB.

Too bad you couldn't find a clean car for the video.

I think if you want sponsors, you'll need more than someone washing a car. I would be much more interested in interview type footage...owner and car, that type of thing. Guys from round the world could forward you footage, you could get a network of guys in each country that had video capability.

I'll volunteer my Alfetta GT turbo supercharged car. I have a video camera and could put a few 'in the build' type sections together for you, just to kick start this a bit.

Sorry not trying to steel your thunder, just give it a leg up....what do you think?

I would be quite happy to help out if you wanted any British cars filming.

I should have some new video editing software soon so should be able to produce some decent footage. Up to now this is the best I can do.

YES the final cut and series will be interview style. Basically just wide and detailed shots with audio of the owners talking about their car.

Hey! I know that guy! Sure don't look like the Blue Dust Pan any more!

Great idea Simon! I sure hope there's room for 'Beaters' and not just 'Trailer Queens' like Snaidy's!

I'd love to get some in car or on board footage of you running the LB Grand Prix route in your GT. I know you have it down perfect.
