Robert Webb = Well, my name. Not very original.

How about SpiderWebb for a new name?

Once again, bereft of spice or creativity, but it is my name!

I suppose I should change it.

Smestas, is this possible please?

Clues would help... Let's see, there are a couple of Highway 801s out there. One in KY and one in NC in particular. But I doubt that is it. There was an 801 processor that had something to do with RISC architecture. Doubt that, too. There is a seemingly brand new wrist watch being made in America called the RGM Caliber 801. Could be a likely candidate, but it is new and you joined a year ago, so, not that either. Maybe has to do with an 801k investment? You're just gonna have to give us a bit more to go on.
In the meantime, have a good trip!

And a totally different direction; how about a birth date: 8/01 or the time 8:01 a.m. or p.m.?

Another mindless username - it was/is my user name on other sites, so in order to keep things uniform at the time of joining - I carried it over to this site as well.
SF = San Francisco + Alfa. *yawn* (but I also like that it could be understood as Scuderia Ferrari Alfa...)

Just kidding.

My username comes from the really lousy inspector gadget movie. It kinda stuck...

My new name

It's official, I am no longer 'Robert Webb'.

Hence forward, I shall be known my my equally uninspired name; 'SpiderWebb'.

Thanks Smestas. It is much appreciated.

Respectfully,

Garage
Well, it must be my turn to provide revelation.

My Alfa BB, Ferrarichat and EBay log-ons simply describe the cars in our garage and driveway: a '65 AC Cobra Mark II (289), a '73 Spider, an '82 GTV6, and our next project, a '58 Giulietta Sprint.

Cheers to all!

Does this mean you will change your name to 'Cobralfasprint'?

Don't mind me, I'm just being foolish once more. The 'Off-Topic Talk' section ‘Changing the subject within threads’ has altered my thought process, permanently (DrainBamage don't ya' know)!

Congratulations on the new project!

Alfavirus simply because I have a mental illness-a compulsive disorder so my wife tells me -I love working on them and I love driving them and even just standing and looking at them. I`m the weido who sits in the living room with his garage door open so he can admire his cars, the kind of guy who lifts bonnets (hoods to USAers) so he can admire the engine. I even started a business specialising in Alfas and other Italian cars-no longer owned. I have owned literally hundreds of cars including Ferrari`s, Porsches etc but I love my Alfas-although daily driver moderns are C200 Mercedes and 3 series BMW.
The NZ end of name tag is simply because I live in Christchurch New Zealand, itself a very car orientated city and with under populated great Alfa friendly drivers roads.

....only 4-3/4hrs. late.....then 2 hr. dive to Chico...but made it..and it's 'warm' (by
'midwest' winter standards.....
