Sad news, Judeanne passed away tuesday

Unfortunately, Judeanne Itin passed away late Tuesday. It is an unspeakable tragedy to lose such a wonderful person in this way. We can only hope that Jim can fully recover from his injuries. Please keep him in your thoughts as he deals with this terrible loss.

So sorry to hear that she did not make it.

I'm assuming from what has been posted about Jim's condition, it will be some time before he is aware of or told of his wife's passing. He will need all of the support that can be afforded him to continue to recover and deal with this loss.

My best to all of those involved in this tragedy and the latest sad news.

I just spoke with Jim. He sounded somewhat drugged-up but was able to converse intellectually. I am going to visit him later today. Such terrible news. Judeanne was such a beautiful loving woman. Always such a joy to be with. RIP.

I was able to visit Jim this afternoon at Hershey. He is able to walk and he can carry on a normal conversation and he has some scull and mouth injuries and he looked pretty banged up. But Jim is still Jim and it looked like he will recover from this terrible accident.

Andy Kaufman - Thank you for keeping us posted. Does Jim know about JudeAnn? We're glad to hear he is able to be up and around - is he still having more surgery today (Friday)? Please tell him that there are a lot of people praying and wishing him a full recovery; and give him our sincere sympathies about JudeAnn. She was a wonderful person - fun and always great to be around. Kathleen (Schweiger) Laporta and Tony Laporta.

update

Karen and I visited with Jim this afternoon. He has had a third surgery, the latest one being a long operation to repair the area around his right eye. He is very swollen as a result, but in remarkably good spirits. He is thinking that he might be released sometime next week, but time will tell. He has plenty of family and friends around to help him through this. He should make a full recovery, but nothing will ever be the same.
