NEW Alfa Spider Gas Tank

(This item has SOLD) I ordered the wrong one, and the shipping to return it would be prohibitive... It is in its original shipping container, well packed.

It's a Series 2/Series 3 Spider 1970-onward tank, WITHOUT the fuel pump and vapor recovery return nipples, and the smaller fuel fill standpipe (found in european models)

$160, or best offer - plus shipping cost.

Where did you find your new gas tank? I've been hoping to find a new one for a GTV6. So maybe your source carries those as well/

Thanks, Peter

Peter -

Classic Afla, FL042 GT/GTV FUEL TANK 1964-77 - Classic Alfa or FL041 2000 GTV FUEL TANK - Classic Alfa

They have been good folks to deal with - but shipping is expensive... Hence my advertisement to sell my incorrect part, instead of returning it.

Thanks Bruce. Just checked their website and didn't see that they carried any parts for GTV6s. Dang. But, worth looking into anyway.

Thanks alfaman. I'm hoping for a new tank, I think APE would only have used ones.

I have 4 GTV6 gas tanks in my collection. Reviewed all 4 with my mechanic to find the best of the bunch. One was quite solid, so he did the POR treatment to that one, just to play it safe (a little rust on the interior). He did one for his Spider at the same time. The Spider tank came out perfect. When he checked in inside of mine the next day, there were huge hunks of the plastic lining flaking off. UGH! If I can't find a new one, it's looking like I may have to send that tank off to have it cut open, sandblasted, welded back together, and plastic coated again. Not cheap. So, if new ones still exist out there, I think that would be cheaper.
