Another site for a reverse image search is TinEye:

https://www.tineye.com

When I was asked how I would buy something of more value than I would care to loose, I always suggested an eBay "Buy It Now" auction, which would be paid by PayPal. You're covered (as of the last time I had nothing better to do than read the TOS). Most sellers would like that, too, even if there is a commission, as they have protections as well. WesternUnion exists mostly for the benefit of scammers, or the very poor (whom they scam with ridiculous rates to basically send a check). When you send to WU, you essentially taping money up on a telephone pole at a busy corner. There is no house for a Postal Inspector to knock on a door if they even want to investigate. Never, never send money to anyone that way!Not even your mom!

That said , there is very little that I would go crazy on- life is too short to worry about every $37.50 purchase.

Brad
Well said, bravo

Hi,

I wonder what objective these people have by demanding phone numbers and emails as normally it is not anything unusual, but in these cases there must some ulterior motive.

Or rather how do they intent to pursue their scam with the help of this info.

Dennis

These fraud attempts are starting to become a problem....

the Targa Florio was not an easy race: it was love, insanity, irrationality, talent, dust. Everyone felt involved, the priest of the small village with a photograph of the Vaccarella, old woman who lay the sheet to the window of the feast to honor the pilots .... WAS THE TARGA FLORIO ....

Thanks for the info, rosso.
User mckellen has been banned. This users IP address, just like a few of these other recent suspicious PMs and emails, are all based in the same country. And it isn't England.
Just for grins, do a search on Ian McKellen.

Gay, er "Gray" wizard.

Don P
Carson City, NV

Past Alfas...
59 102 Touring (first Alfa $500 running)
65 Sprint GT (2nd Alfa, $500 daily driver)
102 Sprint (never did anything with it, but wish I had)
74 Berlina (first new car - now certainly rusted into oblivion)
61 Giulietta Spider G-Prod Race Car (where is it now?)
84 Spider Veloce (rarely drove it, so sold it)
86 Quadrifoglio (Dull car - no more 115s for me)
1971 Montreal "The Full Monty". Fair winds and following seas

Current Alfas
59 102 Touring Roadster - restoration complete, enough Alfa for any rational man. Or irrational, for that matter
And past...
Two 1946 Stampe SV4C (c/n 294 "Rocinante" - wife's favorite airplane. RIP), and c/n 235 "La Bon Temps Femme" (gone to a new home, but never forgotten)
Zlin 50LA (+9 -6 gees, titanium spar, 1200 lbs, 260HP rumored to now be in Brazil)
1946 Luscombe 8A
Starduster Too (recently spotted at the Nevada City, CA airport - over 20 years and an entire continent separating it from our stewardship in Binghamton, NY)
1955 Cessna 170B (wife taught me to fly tailwheel in this)

And present...
64 Mooney M20E ("Rambo". My faithful steed for over 30 years) Nearly 50 years old, and just returned from a trip to Argentina in him
Newest in the fleet
1967 Piper Super Cub on Wipline amphibious floats (a true "all terrain vehicle")
2010 Triumph Thunderbird

You can snap roll an Alfa only one time...
