TA's are thermostatic acuators for those who are still stuck with spica fuel injection.

Now about the cams.... what are they (stock 105.2000 US or euro perhaps?)

Thanks for enlightening me! I'm not familiar with the SPICA system, and all of its complexity.

Great googleymoogly RC, Hell of a thing to say! Say that to Wes's face.

I wouldnt call it stuck at all but technologically advanced, superior and easier to live with than carburetors, no matter who makes them or for what application.
The nerve of some people who should know better......

Hey, I think Wes can handle it! I know I hardly winced in the Potlatch tech session when he informed us that old Spica's were worth nearly nothing as cores. Hum, guess he knows if anyone does, but I seem to pay big bucks for old webers. I guess I am not the one to ask about TA's, as I have had many 70's Alfa's and no decently running spica example, but still looking for a good one, and the T&A place down the street is where I look these days.

We all have our opinions on carbs vs. Spica, but those of you pooh-poohing Spica must not have ever lived with it well set up. I've had uncountable Spica cars, many as daily drivers, and I love it. I have it on my track GTV (15 years now) and it's got many thousand miles on-track and getting to and from the track with no issues. Strong, smooth, clean, good economy. I can get 27 highway MPG out of a 2000 GTV with Euro cams and big intake valves.
