You can see some recent pictures of a Sportiva here. These cars belong to the Alfa museum and have been participating in road events several times in the last 2 years. I've heard that these cars may be shown in Monterey or at Pebble Beach next year.
The Sportiva had a close relative, the Disco Volante (see here).

There were two Coupes of the Sportiva built.
One, with silver colour, is in the museum in Arese.
The other, a red one, is in private hands. If I remember right, the current owner had another very rare vintage Alfa and the factory had two Sportiva Coupes...
So the guy recieved the red Coupe for his vintage car.
This has been a title story in the August 1988 issue of Classic and Sportscar.
The amount of Sportiva Spider(s) is not 100% sure, as there were several prototypes.
Fusi tells that there have been two Coupes and two Spiders.

There was a very early Alfa in Australia that was the only one left in the world. The Museum traded one of the Sportiva coupes for it. The guy in Australia who got the Sportiva coupe passed away about 5 or so years ago, and the car was sold. I'm not sure where it is now. I think it passed through the hands of Rudy Pas, a classic car dealer in Holland.

I confirm. The red Sportiva was traded for a 20/30ES of 1920 or 1921. The first owner, indeed an Australian, put only few miles on it and still managed to roll it over. It was perfectly repaired and wad indeed sold through Rudi Pas. The car has been displayed in Holland at that time.
I can't remember who bought it. Maybe I'm getting old...

I believe those drawings are by Rens Biesma, the guy who does the covers for the Dutch Alfa magazine Het K. His web site is still up, but for some reason he doesn't answer his e-mails..

To be honest, I have no clue.
As the drawings aren't signed, it's hard to say.
But you could be right! Anyway, I also love the drawings of Biesma.
Looking at the Klaverblaadjes, he must have made already hundreds of
Alfa-related pictures...

I wish he would answer my e-mails or letters, as I would like to do some T-shirts with his drawings on them.

Stu,
as far as I know, Biesma lives in Malta.
The phonenumber and the email addy on the homepage are from his agent in Belgium.
I think, he does all business for him!
Hopefully, I will meet his agent in January at Maastricht.
The last years he and Biesma himself were present at the http://www.interclassics-topmobiel.c...een/index.html
I could ask him how to proceed with your request....
What do you think?

Indeed, those Sportiva spider sketches are by Rens Biesma, first published in Het Klaverblaadje and then reprinted in an English magazine.
I would say Classic and Sportscars

2 sportivas - one always retained by the factory (silver); second (red) was traded to australia for a couple of very early alfas (one pre-romeo) - there was nice write up in sports and classic cars back in the eighties on that one, you should be able to find it. I was cruising the image section of yahoo the other night and their were pics of the sportiva and the early diso coupe. I actually got to see a disco at lime rock a couple of years ago - a couple of enourmous italiens taking care of it - the ex-peron car rebodied as mille miglia coupe,,, very dramatic
