Pininfarina & Alfa Romeo.

Here's an interesting description of Pininfarina's history with Alfa Romeo. This is Pininfarina's own website, and contains lots of interesting info about their work with other marques as well.

FYI: At last Fridays AROSC General Meeting held at Mosier Restoration we were in the presence, among other works of art (like and 8C2900B), of a 1931 V16 Cadillac which if not the first car designed by Pinin Farina, was definitely the first non European chassis car designed by him . Look for it at Pebble Beach next year.

What color are the going to paint it? The car appeared in cream with dark blue fenders in 1931, and in another color combination (which I can't remember) at a slightly later date

The car is currently Black with dark burgundy trim around the cockpit and flared down the hood. I believe they plan to go back to the original color, but I will check with Bob.
If you are ever available on a Fri., we get together at the shop (near LAX) around 11 and go for early lunch. Let me know if you could join us.
