I like the optional skis. This would be the perfect vehicle to use if you live in the mountains.

Comparison of the track mechanism

On page 222 I found a picture of a tracked Alfa. The text reads; Gennaio 1925 - Prototipo cingolato con motore RM progettato da Merosi a richiesta dell'Esercrito italiano'. The engine certainly looks like a RM.

Enclosed you will find the picture from this book.

Ciao, Olaf
Did you notice that in the picture from the 'Citroen agricole', the track mechanism looks like the 'Prototipo cingolato con motore RM'.

Ciao, Olaf

Great photos and information. There's a full feature on the car (with some gorgeous studio shots) in this month's (at least for the US market) Octane magazine. Six pages or so. I forget what's on the cover... and I'm not sure if it's the July or August issue.

Fascinating piece of machinery, I'll look out for that issue of Octane.

I wonder if an Alfa half-track still has more 'soul' than the equivalent German built half-track
