Hello Sunit,

The Bertone body number can generally be found on the right side of the firewall, well above the chassis number stamping that is also in the firewall. NOT above the ID plate. The number can be on a semi-vertical face or on the horizontal portion that might be considered part of the gutter just below the engine lid. It can be filled with paint to the point of being essentially undiscernable. It is a nice detail to know and I would certainly remove paint to learn it for a car of my own, but I cannot tell you it should be all that important to you. One day, if you restore the car, you will have the chance to make the decision to look for it ... or not.

Many thanks for your kind reply and the threads. I had seen them but it was a good recapitulation.
My car is psssibly a sunday racer for the first owner in Rome, and I would very much love to get details from the years 1963 to 1970 after which it came to me.
Any assistance would be welcome.
