Certainly not anything done by the factory. Ugly, IMO...

The nose and wheelbase seem too short for an Alfetta GT, so I'm guessing it was an Alfasud Sprint.

Ronny wins!
We posted simultaneously-yes Ronny it was a 1979 Alfetta GTV.
Any idea of the coachbuilder, borrowed parts and materials used?

The nose reminds me of another car, but I can't find it. I'm still searching...

Huh? What a ... contraption! F&F bodywork, 60's Shelby stripes, bling-bling wheels and something probably meant to be Ferrari-ish red. Neither pretty nor functional. What a waste. It must have been built in order to show off car styling trends from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and noughties in one single attempt. Is it slapped together in the US? If so, what's the back story?
The nose looks like a cross between a 105-series GTV and the early 147 in my opinion.

There is no plastic or fiber-glass on this car-its all metal. The hood is a modified 156 one. The front fog-lights seem to be from the hood donor car too.

Gosh, some extremely hash comments. Not my cup of tea but a heck of a lot better than some other stuff we have seen (including one offs back in the '40s and '50s, including some butt ugly etc's) and its completed too!.
And probably still has an alfa engine, thats a plus IMO.

I've only first seen this almost completed car at the Malta xlr-8 modified car show last weekend. The owner white collar worker who built the car himself has put a lot of effort and time into this project although I don't like many of his modifications-the wheels for one. He claims to have fitted a 166 3.0V6 24v motor which runs. Remember that is a FWD unit which needs a lot of modifications to fit.
