Alfa Ferrari?

Ok another newbie question.

I keep seeing on this board Alfas with what looks like a Ferrari Prancing Horse emblem on them. What is the relationship between Alfa and Ferrari?

The short version is that before World War II, Scuderia Ferrari drove Alfa Romeos.

Enzo Ferrari started out as a race driver for Alfa Romeo then started Scuderia Ferrari for Alfa Romeo before starting his own venture. The prancing horse was first on a WWI fighter plane and then on Alfa race car that Enzo drove.
