9.3L stationary engine?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ENGINE-ALFA-R...QQcmdZViewItem
Or search ebay item 140086489065

This one has me stumped - never seen anything like this before come up for sale. It appears to have a winged sump to aid oil cooling - is this a practice Alfa Romeo conducted on all of its engines? Perhaps this engine was actually installed in a car at one stage, but 9.3L? What model would that be? That pump on the side looks like a high pressure direct injection pump.. diesel?
