Question Could you tell me about this rare one-off please?

I've been told that this car is in Italy and that it has parts of a 33 and a tuned Montreal V8 engine. It was supposedly made by a handy enthusiast and bares the name 'Pegaso'. Do you know anything more about it?

Thank you in advance!

At the Concorso there was a Spanish car from the 60s with a Chevy(?) V8 called a Pegaso. The quality of the coachwork was stunning! Somebody said that the designer was Italian.

Spanish Marque in the forties/fifties.

Designer was Wlifredo Ricart ex Alfa/Ferrari.

Engine was of their own make.

The modern version is probably some fans homage.

The REAL Pegasos, of which only 80-something were made, had their own V8. The cars were produced in Spain. Ricart, who at one time was with Alfa, was involved...

It's just a "bitsa" with some Alfa parts, that kind of looks like a cross between the 60s US GT called a Cheetah and the modern Alfa 8C.

Still ... better looking than that 80's TR next to it.

Gee, I just read the history of Pagaso. If I known what I was looking at I would have paid more attention. Just glancing it seemed like a Spanish Bizzarini or something. I am pretty sure about the engine - perhaps it was installed in that car to get it back on the road when it's original engine became unusable for whatever reason. (Or, I hate to say it, somebody wanted the "convenience" of an American V8 and slushbox ) However, I am pretty sure that the car I saw was, at least bodywise, the real thing. The coachwork was a cut above about every other car there and it had the look of some of the pictures.

Once again the good Doctor has the inside scoop!
