Question ALFA Disco Volante

This car - eBay item #4630768312, is in a town adjacent to where I'm at in S/E PA.
Does anyone know about it?
I've done a lot of driving and have been to a lot of car shows in the area. I've also met and chatted with hundreds of ALFA enthusiasts nearby.
I've NEVER heard a word about this car but I'd love to see it.

Anyone know anything about it?????

Bob Z.

Talking

There are about 5 threads on AlfaBB about this auction alone and several others about Discos in general.

Maybe we should open a thread in every forum.

Unhappy Not informed

I have only very limited time to access this site so I did not find or even look for the other threads.

I saw the auction for the first time last week.

I just really want to see the car, since I live so close.

Disco V. Mentioned as having Fuel Injection?

Hey Alfisti,
I have an Alfa brochure from about 1969 on the new 1750 range of cars with Spica fuel injection. It states:

"The heart of the 33's performance is its Alfa Romeo-Spica fuel injection system. Inherited from the world famous "Disco Volante" series, this injection system has been highly refined through extensive motor racing over the years."

This 33 reference is to the 33 race car which is also pictured on the page. So am I to now believe that the Disco V. was the first FI Alfa? I have never heard of this before. Is this a misprint or some weird translation error? Or just some piece of info that slipped past me at some point? I have looked at my Fusi and never have I found any referrence to FI in this or the 3000cm development. Am I missing something?
