It's Lella Lombardi.

There's more info about her on the net than you can shake a stick at. Try here to begin your reading.

This was her ride:

She came out for the Luigi Team in Division 2 of the ETCC

That car is now owned by Ron Simons in the Netherlands and is still raced.

@Kroehl : the Lombardi GTV6 and the RS GTV6 are not tesame .
The RS car is a Luigi prepared car from the ' 85 ETCC sezon !
The picture from the Alpilatta GTV6 is taken at Silverstone , pilots were Lombardi / Palma .
The first Alpilatte GTV6 was driven by Lella Lombardi and Anna Cambiaghi , another woman
It was Cambiaghi who wrecked this car at Brno , a couple of races before Silverstone .

@Giulia Bianca : Christine also raced in the Tipo 33

@GTVke: My bad. However, the RS GTV6 was driven by Lella too, but then later on(?).

The RS GTV6 is a real brutal monster btw. I remember going to my first SS and walking onto the paddock admiring the long lineup of 105 GTs when, off to the side, a mighty engine roar could be heard. As i walked closer to the blue GTV6 with the stickers, the sound would reverberate in my abdomen and when standing next to the car you had to cover your ears. It was that loud.

In one word: Fantastic.

Too bad that Ron decided that he wouldn't race it in the Challenge anymore because of the constant revisions of eligiblility and rules to accomodate newer, faster and un-original cars prepared, in some cases, by megaEuro (or Euro Magnum?) teams. Now that they allowed the ex-Cup racers and 147 GTAs I find the series a bit of a joke.

I've read the Ron Simons article about his car and I don't always aggree .
Ron's car was indeed driven by Giorgio Francia during the ' 85 ETCC sezon and was a Luigi Racing GTV6 , Lombardi's car for that ( and also ' 83 and 84 )sezon was the Imberti prepared Jolly Club / Totip GTV6 .
Ron is maybe a little confused by the fact that Lombardi occasionaly raced under the Luigi Racing banner for winning some extra manufacturers points or like during the Spa 24H , trying to win the King's Cup .

Lella Lombardi also had ( had because she died pretty young ! ) some Luigi Racing history .
Before she started racing the Imberti GTV6 in ' 82 she raced a Luigi prepared Chevrolet Camaro in ' 81 and in ' 78 she raced a Toyota Trueno from tesame tuner for a short time .

And Kroehl , I aggree about the RS car : Fantastic !
