Oh, please! Who really cares whether the auction was at Parc des Expositions or Porte Maillot. The fact is, the sale WAS timed to coincide with Retromobile.

I've never posted in reply to one of your posts before, but your pedantry is extremely tiresome and immature.

I know the 'history' between yourself and Stu Schaller, but, seriously, enough is enough!

Why do you always have to have the last word? Very puerile!

OK, it was done in conjunction with Retromobile and not actually for sale AT Retromobile....what is the BFD???

Nothings to do with Retro !
Poulain auction use the same date of Retro to organise a sale.

What an amazing car!! I don't know if I care for the front, but the side and rear is WOW! Can we please give more info. on the car, it's a shame to quit topic. The history sounds fascinating and I personally would love to learn more.

The reason Vittorio Jano had for helping Jankovits with an engine could be strictly business and interest in the project. Or, as it is well known(in Hungary) that Jano had hungarian origins as was the Jankovits brothers from Fiume, which was a hungarian port until 1920. Maybe a little hungarain connections also did help getting the Alfa engine for this project?
