Thank you very much Tomas, this is exactly what I had asked for.

Now the crash as origin of the rebody with Zagato is evidenced.

But the other theory that he wasn't comfortable with the coupé body isn't wrong either, as it looks like the damage from the Helsinki crash was by no way a sufficient reason to discard the Colli body.

That's right. Bonnier didn't like the cramped and noisy coupé.

I saw that somebody called the photographer and Bonnier's Mille Miglia co-driver "Bolle Boesen". There is no such name as "Bolle" in Sweden!
His name is Bo Boësen. You could call him "Bosse" wich is a sort of common variant. Just like "Ronald" in Britain becomes "Ronnie".
I have visited him a couple of times. A very charming man, who bought a Giulietta from Bonnier and raced at Avus in '55. Bo accompanied Bonnier when he orderd the Zagato cars.

Boësen tried the 6C3000 CM on Skarpnäck late in 1955. He said it was the best car that he ever had driven.
"It took you where you pointed it and you could control it very easily with the accelerator."
But the car wasn't good on long straights where it started to wander. Fangio confirmed that, when he was reunited with the car at Kristianstad. And Kvarnström wasn't at all confident with the car on the long straights at Råbelöv. He thought the car's wheelbase was too short. The short wheelbase and good steering made it an excellent for ice-racing though.

Interesting, because the cars had the highest top speeds on the Mulsanne straight in 1953.

Boësen: "It was geared for 270 km/h, but according to Fangio you couldn't go over 240."

The figures I have seen are 245km/h for the Alfas on Mulsanne. But they were not fastest! The Cunninghams did 248. On the other hand, if Fangio were right, the Alfas could have gone faster (in theory).

According to this website : http://www.alfacybersite.com/BRSpide...#anchor1469899 there was even a Spider prototype build on the 6C 3000 CM chassis:

The following four bodies were all clothed on this 1952 6C 3000 CM chassis.

Ronny Ronny Ronny.

Please read through earlier posts in this thread and you will understand much better the origin and history of this particular 6C3000CM. You will see what has happened to the last rebody. And you will know that the car is not from 1952. There is more good information in this thread -- except for a few odd photos that have somehow snuck in -- than you will find anywhere else. The web page above is just a troll for a misguided idea to make another junk fake car.

Carter:

Biba, who owns/runs the Alfa cyber site is a good guy, and does excellent refurbishing/restoration work on cars like Alfettas and 105s. He is NOT a historian, but I think he is well intend. There are MANY so called "Alfa History Sites" that have poor information.

In today's world it seems that only the Dutch magazine Het, this site and the Atlas Nostalga site have reasonable discussions about Alfa's history. Most of the stuff in the "general public, classic car" magazines isn't very good.
