Saw this on the Toronto Craigslist:

Seems nice, but a little pricey. Very hard to tell on-line. Has anyone had a chance to go by and actually see the car?

You would have to see the car in person to determine if the price is fair. You might also want to know that there is an 83 Fiat Spider in the Toronto Autotrader for $7995.00. Probably worth checking out. I think the final production runs Fiat Spiders are more desirable and are worth more. plus they have neat options and a 2000 FI motor. Good luck with your search.

Thanks Anthony. You are quite right. My "Illustrated Dictionary of Sports Cars" says that the 1978 Fiat 124 Spider faced exhaust emission rules that choked the power back to 87 bhp. It was with the introduction of Bosch fuel injection and other updates that the peak power crawled up to 103 bhp by 1983, which was also the first year that Pininfarina took over production of the entire car from Fiat, which made a corporate decision in '82 to get out of sports car production entirely.

Or so my book says.
