1991 164S - 84K miles
As I have been driving it very, very seldom, I have decided to sell my 164S in order to pay off some loans. As stated in the title, it is a 1991 with only 84k miles on it (84,557 to be exact). It runs/drives well. The paint is in good condition, with minor chips on the hood and some cracks on the spoiler. Has new clutch, top end rebuild, and a lot of other new parts (see below). A/C blows cold air.
I originally purchased the car from 164 FAMILY on the bulletin board in October 2006. Within the first month, I had changed the slave and master clutch cylinders, along with all the hoses involved. I replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat, t-belt, and all accessory belts. Sadly, once finished, I found out one of the head gaskets had been leaking oil into the valley of the block. So, four months ago, the car got a top end rebuild. The following were completed by Natale's Auto Repair in Campbell, CA:
-both heads rebuilt
-new head gaskets
-crankshaft seal replaced
-rear main seal replaced
-upper engine mount bushings (dog bone, both ends) replaced
-front and rear engine mounts replaced
-shifter bushing replaced
-timing belt and all accessory belts replaced
-new clutch
The above was all completed on 2/18/08.
After those repairs were completed, I noticed a stumbling idle issue and had replaced the following parts myself:
-distributor rotor
-distributor cap
-spark plug wires
-ignition coil
-idle control valve
-throttle position sensor
-oxygen sensor
-coolant temperature sensor
The car idles well now.
I am also in the process of replacing the front control arms, anti-sway bar bushings, and ball-joints. I completed the passenger side today. Driver's side will be done tomorrow.
The car currently has an after-market exhaust (magnaflow, I think), with a straight pipe instead of a resonator. So, yes, it's a bit loud. I do have a stock cat, and brand new resonator and muffler that I would throw in with the car. With that said, I have quite a few spare parts that would go with the car for anyone who's interested. Would also throw in a Blaupunkt Monterey MP27 stereo.
Asking $4500.
I have all receipts available for parts and work done on the car while it has been in my possession.
Car is located in Los Gatos, CA. I should also mention that it passed the SMOG test today. The pics were also taken today, after a quick wash.
Please send PM with any questions you have.
-Dimitriy

All,
Sorry, I have been out of the country for over a month, and have not been tracking this thread at all.
I have actually decided to keep the Alfa, as I am lending my xterra to a friend, indefinitely. The Alfa will now be my daily driver.
Again, my apologies for late replies.

That was way too much car for the money. The mileage and all the work done merited a higher asking price... I'm glad to hear that you are keeping her.
Best regards,
