94' 164LS for sale $500, needs transmission
Hi guys, no time to play with this one anymore. The car is champagne in color, black leather interior. Everything worked except no refridgerant in a/c system. One day the transmission started pulling in one direction then decided to break itself in a couple of miles and dumped out its oil. It is still drivable but I wouldn't trust it much more than onto a trailer. Definitely needs a transaxle. Car has zero rust. I have a clean title and whatnot. No idea when the timing belt was last done. Clutch and ball joints, misc items replaced in the last 2000 miles. email me if you want it -- jason.millersmule@gmail.com
oh, car located in katy, tx. Just west of Houston.

Does the car come with a good spare 6 speed? For $500? What is the mileage on the engine and chassis?
Jes

no, the car does not come with a 6 speed. Milage is in the 125-130k range, I forget exactly. I will investigate further tomorrow.

Alfa's and living in Canada sucks.
I'd own at least another four Alfa's were I in the states.

haha im talking about the costs as well.
Getting a non running vehicle for me (since i dont have a truck or towing ability) for 500 km's was about 500$.
Tow this car from texas to BC, who knows the bill. I then have to modify it, make it perfectly running, and then from my awkward living status (student in a different province) drive it to my home province, have it inspected and hopefully NOTHING is wrong with it. Otherwise i need to get the parts shipped to me and put on within two weeks (and thats amusing in its own right. Shipping costs me from the states for a basic part about 20-45 dollars of tax at the border on top of the shipping cost. All of a sudden my 100 dollar part has now become 170$) Then if luck doesnt run my way (and it hasnt. I've been failed on these import tests for the most pathetic reasons) then i have to do the 10 hour drive again, and hope it passes. All the while buying temporary extremely expensive insurance.
Or I could just import it as a parts car, which is also expensive, and then have another non running beauty in my cluttered driveway.
*end rant*
*edit*
While I'm at it, there's been so many Alfa's that had I been across the border I probably would have jumped on.
