1984 GTV-6 in Oregon
This GTV-6 was prepared as a DE track car. Mechanically all there, uni-body has rust issues. Race parts inventory (all on car)
-Front & rear sway bars
-Rear race springs
-Adjustable Watts linkage
-4 HAL aluminum body single-adjustable shocks
-6 point Rollcage, currently bolted in (I think Autopower)
-ATL fuel cell (30x12x12)
-2.5 motor and electronics, starts & runs well, doesn't appear to leak or
smoke, good oil pressure at start up and when warm, revs well
-5speed transmission with open diff, appears to shift fine, (advertised to
me as having had 2nd gear syncro replaced and a new milano clutch)
-Aluminum ButlerBuilt race seat
-Fitipaldi steering wheel w/quick release
-AutoMeter Shift light w/6,800 rev chip
-Brake calipers appear to have been rebuilt
-Plastic front spoiler, with minor cracks (repairable)
-1 set of 15x7" BBS 5 spoke wheels
Mechanically, the car seems to be all there and in relatively good order. In
my opinion, the body/chassis is not worth trying to rust repair. Rust at base
of windshield (passenger side) and all 4 wheel wells. Bubbles at the
bottoms of doors. Would be a good basis for a DE/ITS car for someone with a solid donor GTV-6 or alfetta chassis.
The glass is all good. Interior is stripped w/exception of the dash, cage,
race seat, shifter & steering wheel which are ok.
I have been looking for a donor chassis, and just haven't found one locally
that is worth starting from.
The car needs to go (wife's new car will now go in the garage, imagine.), so if you are interested, call or write with questions. I'd like to get $1,750 but I'm open to offers.
Thanks, Dan J.
