1967 GTV vintage racer for sale


1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce AR243160
Full cage with removable dash bar
1600 race engine built by Dan Marvin (Huffaker dyno sheets available) Twin 40 DCOE Webers, Sperry Stage V head, aluminum flywheel, headers and race exhaust, remote filter, oil cooler (engine and carbs are original to the car)
Suspension: Panhard rod, competition springs, Koni shocks (yellow’s), heavy front sway bar, 3 different adjustable rear bars, extended rear shock towers, spherical bearings in rear trailing arms, custom built rear T bar with heims.
5.10 ratio locked diff.
Brake system all race prepared with braided lines, bias-valve and rpv on rear, several diff types of pads/compounds.
15x7 Alfaholics GTA wheels with Hoosier Vintage TD’s, also have Hoosier Speedsters, and a set of Goodyear Blue Streaks.
Aux. gauges (factory gauges work), oil press light, electric fan.
New Momo wheel, new Sparco seat, new Willans harness, also have stock seats that work with removeable cage mounted head-rests, passenger side harness.
Rear seat removed and area is all finished.
All side windows are lexan, door windows go up/down so car is all weather and secure.
Fuel safe fuel cell inside split and powder-coated original tank, retains stock gauge sending unit.
Interior is upholstered, front carpets are removable for track use, dead pedal, false floor, fire system, ect…
Trans built by Tom Lorini, steering box rebuilt by Dan Marvin
Heater box, wiper motor and window regulators all removed but go with the car.
Bumpers removed but are perfect and go with car.
Lots of spares, 3 car covers, 2 log books, car is super clean inside, underside, and outside.
The car has run in the Wine Country Classic, Monterey Historics, Palm Springs Gran Prix as well as all kinds of CSRG, VARA, HMSA and GRL events. It has won the last 3 races that we have run it in and with the right driver, it is very competitive. Still street registered and although it is not a daily driver, I have driven to Concourso and to/from the race track.

Awesome car indeed. And I'd just love to know where to find one of those cam covers - dipped, no vent, two lugs at the front. It's only the second time I've ever seen one!

I think the point is that the most common dipped 1600 cam covers (that I've seen, anyway) are either early models with no vent or front lugs, or late models with both vents and front lugs. I don't think I've seen one with no vent but with front lugs either.
