What a nice GTV racer. Congratulation to the new owner.
Seattle? Interesting, I just bought the 69 GTV Track toy from Seattle and drove back to San Francisco last week.

That car looks fantastic, what kind of lap times did it do at Laguna?

1.47's on the Hoosier Vintage TD's, about a second quicker on the Speedster's

Tires look like a 50 or 45 aspect ratio; did you have any truble about this low profile with hmsa?
I have 14 inch wheels and would like to run 50's.

Nice car. Hey just out of curiosity what's the square tube in the front of the trunk running between the inner fenders, just under what looks to be the fuel filter? thanks, Steve

As for the tires, HMSA told us that we could not run the Speedsters and had to run a vintage bias ply... So, the 205/60 Speedster's that look very period correct and work awesome came off, and the Vintage TD's went on. We went with the short sidewall (45 series i think) to gain a gear ratio advantage... HMSA never said anything about it. To top it off, when we were at the event, we were shocked on how many people were running the Speedsters! Lesson learned, don't ask and just show up with what you want to run, and as far as the entry forms under tires... Lie!

That bar in the trunk is a brace that supports/ties together the Panhard mounts underneath and the 4 link type setup that replaces the stock T bar.
