Can this 64 Spider be saved?

The seller sure thinks it can, but it looks like a parts car to me. See it here on eBay.

Man, that's hard to look at.

Parts at best.

Almost anything can be saved with enough time and money. If one found a Mercedes Gullwing in this condition, it would probably make sense to spend the requisite time and money.

Unfortunately, this car does not command gullwing money, and there are plenty of more complete cars available out there for restoration projects.

Three buyers think so. If he has the Veloce motor and the numbers match, then it gets interesting. Most of the panels are available so all it takes is money and desire. If someone has a good Normale tub then the game changes. Swap out the VIN numbers and you add several thousand to the value.
Cheers, Jon

The motor shown is a Normale with a two barrel carb... Unless someone retrofitted the two barrel onto a real Veloce motor...lol
So doubtful it's a numbers matching car...

Oh I believe it's a numbers matching car. It's just that it's a normale. The seller probably doesn't know veloce from vermicelli, and thinks that every Alfa spider is called "veloce". I would hate to think that someone would leave a real veloce sitting outdoors in Florida.

Combine the two for that much more rust.
Probably can spend twice as much for one car.
