Sadly, it is time to offer my Milano Carabinieri replica for sale. $3,000 or best offer.
It is originally a Platinum version, and spent most of its life in California. It has 76,xxx original miles. Yes, low miles! The California sun took its toll on the paint and interior. When I bought the car in 2009 I began the transformation in a Carabinieri replica.
The P.O. had the ABS removed. He also replaced all the belt, so the timing belt has about 10,000 miles on it, but is 6 years old.
I had the car repainted. It is not perfect, but is nice. There are some scratches and small bumps, but it wouldn't look like a police car if it was in mint condition. I added all pieces of the Verde trim to the exterior. I also added the Euro grill and Euro headlights. The sunroof does work, but you need to hold down the air deflector when closing. The lights and antenna on the roof are magnetic. The tint is in excellent condition. No damage to windshield. The decals could be removed if you want.
On the inside I put in the Verde Recaro seats and door panels. The heat controls and sunroof controls are the Verde orange. The dash has some cracks, hence the dash cover. The front seat have been redone, but the drivers seat needs work. The rear seats also need work. I put seat covers in and never got around to re upholstery. It has the original radio, but the tape player eats tapes. I use an FM modulator. I upgraded the speakers, but used the original rear deck covers.
Here is a list of things I have done to the car:
-New spark plugs, cap & rotor.
-New valve cover gaskets.
-New brakes.
-Tires are about 1 year old.
-Installed a starter relay.
-Added a dome light.
-Re-greased the front window gear boxes. Windows work great!
-Added 3.0 radiator. It sits a little off due to some damage on the bottom of the front clip, but this is not an issue.
The power steering currently leaks, so I removed the belt so the pump does not burn up. I do not drive the car much, so This does not bother me. The A/C needs a recharge.
The air horn is hidden in the fender. All you see under the dash is the pump and relay.
I'm sure I have forgotten something. Please ask questions. I am a member of the Alfa Club of the Rockies. This car has been at many events here in Colorado.
