Fs (or Willing To Trade For A 164) 1989 Milano Gold Located In Michigan
I haven't driven my Milano since the snow started flying a couple of weeks ago here in Michigan. I sold my '69 Berlina this week and now I'm starting to think that I want to sell or trade my Milano. As much as I love the sound this car makes and as enjoyable as it is to drive it's a little too small for my needs, and I don't want to drive it on our snowy salty roads here in Michigan. I'm thinking about something a little bigger like my 528i that I sold a few years ago, or a 164.
I bought this car this summer with 72,000 miles on it. I've only put about 1000 miles on it since. It is a Michigan car that has been owned and serviced in the Detroit area since it was bought new in 1989. I'm guessing that this car has not been driven in winter since it's in wonderfull shape. There is one tiny little rust bubble on the rear wheel arch. A few nicks on the doors and several chips in the hood. All of which I was going to address later this winter along with a possible engine swap. I have another potential project that will be starting soon so this one is going to get put on the back burner so I thought that I'd see if I can sell it.
Here is what I have had done to it since I bought it:
A local service station looked the car over from front to back and handled these items:
Flushed and changed all fluids. Moved the battery to the trunk using new heavier gauge wire. Installed a remote door and trunk unlock system which is really nice. They inspected all pads and hoses and also installed a new timing belt and water pump. Installed a brand new Momo steering wheel. Put a fresh set of tires on. I think that they are Dunlops...I'll check on that.
The interior of this car looks almost brand new. Even the original Alfa radio works and I have the radio code. I have all the receipts from this car going back to 1990, and I even have the tools that came with the car!
The only issues that this car has that I was going to address this winter is the typical 2nd gear crunch and the A/C doesn't work. I was going to have them re-fill the ac but I believe that the condenser was leaking so I was going to put that off until next summer.
I'm asking $4500 or a possible trade for a 164S 5 speed.
I'm in Michigan and can be reached on my cell phone at (616) 204-3699.

Reason: added mileage
